Major Roles & Responsibilities

  • Meeting with Project Manager/Client Service Executive/Account Executives to discuss the client’s requirements and core messages
  • Researching, speaking and analyzing with internal and external parties to learn about their content needs.
  • Brainstorming ideas and concepts for the visual and words with other members of the creative team
  • Familiarizing themselves with the product, target audience and competitor activities in the market for the purpose of original and compelling copy and project ideas
  • Presenting ideas and copy to the line manager, some of which may be rejected or developed into workable concepts
  • Writing various copy options for various mediums (e.g. ads, social media posts, brochures, brand story, blog posts etc.)
  • Modifying Content until the client is satisfied and the goals set by the line manager is met
  • Creating and editing original copy that is accurate, well-researched, and meets client/company needs and deadlines.
  • Conducting necessary research to formulate ideas or support writing and assisting in other aspects of the creative or research processes to create cohesive, accurate content.
  • Using SEO and Marketing principles to maximize copy’s reach
  • Overseeing the production phase of content with designers, illustrators, marketing managers, photographers and necessary personnel

Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a copywriter or related role
  • Excellent knowledge in grammatically correct written Nepali
  • Good knowledge in grammatically written English
  • Experience of online content strategy and creation
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Be skilled in writing clear, concise and grammatically correct copy
  • Understand the different language styles that appeal to various target markets
  • Be able to work under pressure and manage workloads effectively
  • Be able to see other people’s points of view and take on board feedback (Receptiveness to feedback)
  • Work well in a team and with a range of creative people
  • Have a collaborative spirit and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Be highly self-motivated and well organized
  • Be highly creative and imaginative, and curious about clients’ products or services
  • Awareness of social, cultural, market and internet trends
  • Willingness to meet deadlines.
  • Strong research skills
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of and Experience with SEO, Digital Marketing or Social Media Marketing Field is prioritized.
