On 29th September 2019, Genese Solution Ltd., Dhaka, Bangladesh held a seminar on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and AWS Educate with the assistance of the AIUB CS Department along with AIUB Computer Club (ACC) and BASIS Students’ Forum.
The seminar was inaugurated by Dr. Mashiour Rahman, Associate Dean in Charge and Associate Professor, Faculty of Science and Technology. In his welcome speech, he talked about the importance of learning the latest technology and how such events could be of benefit for students in their career path.
Dr. Ziaul Hossain, Managing Director of Genese Solution Ltd. Bangladesh introduced Cloud Computing to the audience, where he emphasized how AWS has been helping big corporations as well as startups to grow in the current market. He portrayed the scope of Cloud Computing in Bangladesh and the future of jobs all around the globe.
Er. Niranjan Udas, the Educate Program Lead at Genese Solution Pvt. Ltd., who has been leading an education wing called Genese Cloud Academy, gave an introduction to AWS Educate and explained how students can take leverage of the career pathway courses it provides. He also emphasized on the Job Portal that is available within the AWS Educate portal, where students can find and apply for jobs. Nepal’s only AWS Educate Cloud Ambassador, Niranjan, then went on to demonstrate the process of signing up with AWS Educate and walked the students through the portal.
Technical Coordinator and AWS Solution Architect, Mr. Toufiq Ur Rahman, in the end, demonstrated the services in AWS. He showed how easy it is to create a server and deploy an application to the web. He concluded his session by stating how AWS has been actively shaping the future of development and deployment of the application in the Cloud.
The seminar was attended by more than 100 students.
