COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course covers software development life cycle methods in depth while explaining the
concepts with examples and how these methods are used and applied in real-world production
scenarios. This course aims to make participants know what a business person or a technical recruiter
needs to know about the waterfall, Agile, Kanban, Scrum, product backlog, Scrum roles,
events, and artifacts.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

After successful completion of the course, participants will learn about:
● Traditional methods, including the waterfall model
● Early agile methods, including DSDM and FDD
● The scrum workflow
● Key lean principles
● How teams use Kanban boards
● Core principles of extreme programming
● How the Spotify model optimizes agile practices?
● The history of DevOps
● Setting standards with Six Sigma

Course Requirements

Exam: There will be one exam after the completion of the course. Students should pass the
exam by securing above 60% of the full mark to receive the certificate of successful
completion.
Assignments: There will be homework assignments required throughout the course.
Assignments will be posted on the course page on a weekly basis. You are responsible for
knowing that the assignment is due. NO LATE HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE
ACCEPTED.
Attendance/Participation: Your active participation in class is necessary, both for you and
for your classmates. Your participation will be monitored by your attendance, your
contributions to class discussions, and your overall positive demeanor during class.

Certification

Trainees will be provided certification of completion from Genese Cloud Academy signed
by its CEO and trainer upon successful completion.
